David A. Roush has worked in health care as an attorney, regulator, consultant, operator-owner, investor, and public policy advisor.

In 1997 he co-founded a health care organization which today comprises the full spectrum of the Radius Executive Solutions and Radius Health Care Companies. The Companies provide an array of consulting, planning, development and management services primarily in the senior care sector. In 2012 he concluded the successful sale of Radius’ owned nursing facilities, which operated nearly 2,000 health care facility beds and employ more than 2,000 employees in programs including skilled nursing facilities, Medicare transitional care, Alzheimer and Dementia Care, assisted living and LTACH Hospital care.

As a consultant, Mr. Roush has specialized in strategic planning, regulatory affairs, network design, project management and facility work-outs. Recent work has included assisting hospitals, nursing homes, senior housing facilities and community based senior care providers look at service diversification and innovative service collaborations.

Prior to 1997 Mr. Roush worked as Principal in the ADS Group for eight years. He served as the Managing Partner of ADS Consulting during this period. His work included directing nearly 100 turn-arounds for troubled nursing facility properties; consulting to more than 40 acute care hospitals concerning selected senior care projects; helping two dozen clients design, approve, build and open new health care facilities; and serving as lead consultant in the first generation of assisted living facility projects in Massachusetts in the early to mid 1990s. Mr. Roush authored a book titled “Integrated Senior Care: Assisted Living and Long Term Manual” for Thompson Publishing Group in 1996.

Before joining ADS, Mr. Roush worked as an attorney and health care regulator for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. His work in government included directing the Patient Protection Office; helping launch Massachusetts’ Patient Abuse reporting and investigation unit; starting the State’s first Medicare Patient Program; and coordinating several hundred State regulatory enforcement cases involving quality of care and fraud and abuse to the Department of Health and Human Services.

Mr. Roush is a member of Angel Health Care Investors in Boston, a Board member of Vineyard Village at Home, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Democratic National Committee.

He is a graduate of Columbia College and Boston University School of Law.
